Clearly clottey. By that I mean I view a lot of them as still prime, but clottey is the only one with no question marks. Infact i'll give my analysis from worst to best:

Margo. This was a ridiculous missmatch that was preceded by a two year stint without a meaningless victory for margarito.

Oscar. Altho he was rightly a big favourite he was not considered by anyone to be still prime. Or to be anywhere near his prime.

Coming in at 3rd is cotto, although the guy is still clearly a top level fighter, there where question marks due to the nature of the beating he took, the questionable win over clottey and the catch weight.

Next is hatton, undefeated at the weight and predicted to be way to big for pa. Probably the fight that really announced him to the mainstream fans. Still a minor question mark due to the devastating loss to floyd.

The only guy clearly prime and with no question marks is clottey. The guy was coming off a career best win over judah and a career best performance vs cotto. It is without doubt him who was closest to the prime.

I feel the list is quite easy bar the position of hatton/cotto. Interchangeable them two are.

This isn't a list about who is better or more credible, just who was closer to their prime.

I've broken it down... The two best answers are Clottey and Diaz. Next, but not prime: Cotto.

it's funny too, because Clottey was coming off a loss and Diaz was coming off a majority decision, but he was never good to begin with

Diaz and clottey. B level fighters in their prime just like floyd does it. Both should be ashamed. Sergio is the true p4p #1

I guess he was only prime in one fight, the one where he beat Zab to become a welter champ.

    hatton fought floyd at
147 where hatton looked like a b fighter just like jmm a great fw looks like a b fighter at ww or 144. Cotto looked like **** vs clottey he wasn't going to do better with pacmn.legit would of been floyd beating hatton at his best at 140 you know hatton is no ww. Cotto was damaged goods. They are good wins but if anything not legit.

Hatton and Cotto victories were emmanuel's best wins ever since he became a "star".

Cotto wasnt the same fighter after that brutal beatdown from margarito. Pac always, as of late, fights guys coming off of losses or on the decline

Cotto had a not so bad gameplan first couple of rounds, after the knockdowns all gameplans go out the window.

Clottey was probably closest to being his prime but has nothing to show for it.
