Sad too see Barrera fighting a 43 yr old patsy at later stage in his career.

 

he would want to train hard if he expects to compete at the top level. On the merits of that fight he should go back into retirement. Or go for morales 4

 

I remember when he was fighting, as a kid, at the Felt Forum.

 

definet early stoppage but then again the guy had no chance of a win. He was getting tagged at will. Bad matchmaking in my opinion.

its like watching it in slow mo....

 

Marco has lost a step (or 20).. but he's still crafty. He could beat a lot of guys still, but he's gonna get destroyed by any of the top guys.

Still got counter skills, but man his punches have slowed considerably.

 

I'd like to see him in with a Breidis Prescott; someone with a bit of a name but zero skills, who he can really shine against (and whose one dimensional power won't be an issue with MAB's chin).

Maybe then he can knock off a weak interim titlist if 140 thins out a bit as the top guys fight each other and/or move up to welterweight and retire on a good note.

That would be a good fight but I wouldn't say that Prescott has 0 skills. His arsenal isn't especially well collected, but he can jab and move, throw a few combinations, has a defense...interesting fight for MAB but not that easy.
