Fedor bashing

the problem i see is the majority of mma 'fans' are uneducated rednecks or children who don't understand the flow of fight sports:

the older you get, the more tough fights you have the greater the physical toll and it's going to catch up to almost every fighter eventually.


fedor has the best resume in mma heavyweight history, hands down. anyone claiming different isn't a knowledgeable fan, period.

 

I have said it a million times on here Lesnar can't fight a lick. He is MMA's version of Primo Carnera or Jess Willard (at least Willard could take a punch and had stamina) all the guy can do is tackle someone and then throw 50 hammer fist punches top stop them. He has a Glass Jaw, is scared to get punched in the face, turns his back and runs from his opponent when faced with adversity. The guy is a big lug and that is it.

I saw Dana White's Tweets last night and he completely ignores or accepts that Fedor beat 5 of his former Heavyweight Champions and knocked 4 of them cold.

Dana White is a disgrace to the sport all he does is line his pockets with money and treat and pay his fighters (with the exception of his "pet" favorites) like ****.

 

Who is a classier, more humble or soft spoken fighter than Fedor? How is it even possible to attack his personal character? I saw Fedor during the recent weigh-ins and he just wasn't the same guy that he used to be physically. I attribute the decline to age but of course that's just my supposition. Anyway, he'll always be remembered as an all-time-great in my mind.

It's funny how sports stars always seemed to be remembered by their last few outings and not their entire body of work. If Fedor would have retired after the Brett Rogers fight his legacy would've been perceived as different by many. It's like Brett Favre (to use an NFL analogy).

 

I agree, and different fighters will peak at very different times based on many reasons such as genetic makeup, individual fighting style etc.

 

Who cares about zuffadog? As I said before the Fedor fight, his place in history is/was cemented. How can they honestly bash a man who went undefeated for 10 years and tore through the best heavyweight division in the toughest organization on the planet? What a tool of a website.atsch

 

Fedor bashing?

The only guy who actually gave Fedor a bashing fell to his knees at Fedor's feet after the bout.

Silva is a true warrior and he understood the respect that the Last Emperor was justly due.

Fedor is an immortal champion. From what I have heard of him outside the ring, he is also a great human being.

He is worthy of any fight fan's utmost respect. If you don't respect Fedor, then you can't really be a fight fan.

I think Silva deserves great credit for being so magnanimous in victory.

 

Sherdog's a ****ing wasteland. It's the home of the loud shirt wearing jocks that boo at UFC events.

 

It's slightly worse than that. It's full of 14 years olds who want to be loud shirt wearing jocks when they grow up

Carnera took insane punishment against Baer.

And beat Herring and Nog, two top wins from his two top Heavys.

 

It not even doing it justice saying 30 fights, Fedor has had about 25 of those fights at the very elite end level of heavyweight MMA..


Fat Rogers the *****...and if i ever see him im gonna tell him that...has had 3 top level mma fights and lost 2........****ing fat *****.

 

Exactly, lets says see Brock in his 11th year as a professional MMA fighter. Let see Brock after 25 or so top LEVEL MMA fights so far he is 4-2 in top level MMA. Fedor is 22-3 in top level MMA...


In the end of the day these are the same guys that would say that the following were overrated.

Joe Louis Lost E. Charles and Maricano at tail end.
M. Ali - Lost to L. Spinks, Holmes and Berbick tail end
Tyson Lost D. Williams and McBride tail end
Nogueira - Losing so often at the tail end.

Hell these are the same guys that would say after watching Michael Jordan version 2001 was **** or watching Maradona in 1995 or Fat Ronaldo now and saying he was ****.


Fedor prime was 2003 - 2006

He slowing down was noted in the Arlvoski fight, he looked sloppy against Rogers and made a techincal mistake against Werdum. He looked ever slower and sloppier against Silva....and still only lost on a techincal descision.

 

Not only the greatest Resume but he is the greatest fighter head to head prime for prime, pound for pound.

Only Noguiera prime, Cro Cop prime and Overeem especially if he succeeds in this tournment can compare.

Fedor has the resume of Ali and the head to head of Tyson....it not even debatable how great he is....simply put he is the greatest.

 

Fedor is human...but for a long time he seemed super human. So of course when the top dog falls the haters come out in numbers to the tune of "I told you so". It's a bunch of **** but no one can erase what Fedor has done in MMA. He's obviously no longer the same fighter that he once was but that doesn't give dumb ass fans the right to discredit his legacy.
