tony i except that you are injured and like you say 8 weeks of hard training gone to waste but so has mckenzie 8 weeks of training gone to waste unless you vacte so i ask you again WHY... ? didn't you vacte the title and let mckenzie fight for it and then you challenge the winner surely that's what a true sportsman and gentleman would have done gavin rees did so WHY NOT

yeh Tony should have done the decent thing and let McEnzie fight for the vacant titles.

I was looking forward to seeing how Tony would approach the fight this time round. You'd be able to tell a lot about him from lesson's learned.

As the British is vacant is it not possible for Ovill to fight someone for it anyway and the winner fight Tony for British/Commonwealth anyway?
Bad luck with the injury Tony, its the right call

Bellew shouldn't have to give up his title because of an injury.

It's not as if he's ducking anyone or fighting abroad from now on.

Just because Barker and Macklin like throwing titles around like confetti doesn't mean everyone else has to.

Tony came through a tough fight to retain his title and shouldn't be made to give it up.

This i would much prefer people to hold onto their titles as long as possible rather than having to vacate to suit a particular show or tv date

I'm not giving up my title and the reason I was fighting for the British is cos I have worked hard to become mandatory challenger, I want no favours and ask for none, Ovill was picked by me AGAIN and like I say the fight will happen it's just a delay this happening that's all, I've lost a lot more than Ovill and I'm not about to lose my title too.. Hope that answers the question... ;)

On the evidence of his last two fights he could do to keep his chin down!
