well, that's still an additional 4.6 lbs. that pac has to drain himself to make 140 and that is definitely a lot. remember that ppl here were up in arms when cotto had to drain himself an additional 1 lb. from his last weigh-in to fight pac.

like i said before, pac isn't accustomed anymore to draining himself to make weight.

even if this fight happens @147, there will actually be just a 3 lb difference in their actual fighting weights (148 vs. 145). jmm can actually weigh-in at whatever weight he's comfortable at. therefore, why the need to drain pac? or does the TS want pac to be weakened so that jmm has a better chance to win?

 

That's pure speculation. Enough already. Last time Pac fought at 140 was almost 2 years ago. Mayweather was at 147 the same amount of time and he couldn't get down to 140 or a catchweight for Hatton. Ideally if JMM had any negotiating power he could get a catchweight of 144-45, but unfortunately for JMM Pac holds all the leverage and the fight happens on his terms or it doesn't happen at all.

 

Let them come whatever weight they want. They'll be only a few lbs difference come fight night anyway.

What would making it 140 accomplished? You would just drain them both before hydrating to their natural weight, the difference is Pacquiao will have to drain harder.

The only incentive for team Pac to take the fight at 140 is if he first beat Bradley or Khan for the rank at jww. Otherwise there's no point.

 

I don't think Pac will go down to 135 again. His walking weight is at 150. He won't allow himself to get weight drained again.
