    I think he knew he was down and tried to get up but his brain was really hay wired. The only thing that was happening was the shaking of his body especially the legs and arms. THAT WAS A DEVASTATING BLOW TO MONTIEL'S HEAD!

    The incredible thing was how after he initially stumbled he popped right up and appeared to be on steady legs. After seeing him twitch like that while horizontal, I would never have expected him to be able to stand upright without his legs betraying him. Amazing recovery even if he was ultimately unable to continue.

    That was Montiel forcing himself to get up but his brain got devastated by that blow.
