Which fighters do you think were past their best before ever becoming world champs?

I always felt Junior Witters best days were behind him before he ever became world champ

I wonder if Frochs best days were behind him before becoming world champ

I think C Baldomirs best days were behind him before he became world champ.

Id say Thulani Malinga was past his best also

So who do you think was past their best before ever winning a world title. It is only opinion and can be only slightly, but who do you think??

Froch? Really? Anyway, I'd say arguably Liston. When Lennox became the real champion, I think he had lost a tick of speed although he matured as a technician much more after that. Also he had that long amateur career, going into the Olympics for a second time. Ezzard Charles at heavyweight is another good shout out as he was already far and away the greatest uncrowned light heavyweight (if not greatest period, as he's often ranked even now), I think.
