Becarful here, Donaire will beat the K's brothers and ko Martinez, Juanma, Gamboa and Fraud on his way down, common he just smoked the Great Fernando Montiel, he never saw that punch coming.

Even if he beats juan ma, I am still not convinced he is better or has a strong chance. Looking at the rafael marquez fight, its clear to me that juan ma is not on the level of morales and barrera.

alright alright...yes, he caught montiel with a counter left...right in the temple which is one of those "lights out" spots. and props to nonito, he seems to be a very good fighter...but lets not get ahead of ourselves and compare him to barrera or morales right now that's just ridiculous. As far as i'm concerned the only top fighters he has beaten are darchinyan and montiel...i'm not saying he can't be a great...but he still has a long way to go imo.

i'd also like to see a rematch with montiel. if he would have seen that left hook comin and avoided it...who knows how the fight would have ended.....

how could anyone feel comfortable answering this when Donaire has never fought at that weight and hasn't fought a fighter of Barrera or Morales calibre at the weights he has fought at?

    This thread is a FAIL!

To favor Doniare, who has never even campaigned at 122lbs, over these two is absolutely ludicrous at this point.

There's a strong possibility that Donaire will one day retire not having fought anyone of the caliber of MAB and Morales...and that's kind of the point.

Nonito is not on Barrera, Morales and Pac's level. if he will be able to beat Rigo, Juanma or Gamboa, then we can talk. But i could say that his left hook is the best in the business!

People should also keep in mind how easy it is to win world titles at the lower weights. Cristian Mijares is currently the IBF Super Flyweight champion, and he hasn't fought top level opposition since losing to Vic Darchinyan. Jorge Arce, a good but not a great fighter, is also multi-weight world champion.

I don't consider Darchinyan to be a particularly great fighter, and I feel Montiel was completely outgunned on a physical level in his match with Donaire. Great wins, but not nearly great enough to warrant a lot of talk that's been circulating these forums since the weekend.

Donaire's a pretty awesome fighter, but he hasn't shown himself to be ATG level yet. Montiel is no EM or MAB and either one of those guys would have gotten Fernando out of there pretty viciously.
