Not all boxers are lucky enough to be FW's latest golden boy. You take what's been given to you. This is probably Henneseys best stable in ages, he'll be alright for now. But if it takes off, I think Hatton's new promotional group is really going to mess with Hennesey in the long run. The Hatton name has still good brand value and he'll be able to compete with FW and get TV deals. After them two I don't think there will be many scraps left for fat mick to feed off
Fair play to him, he put on the better of Saturday's shows. Stupid to have two in London on the same night though.
I think it just shows how bad Mick is. His show on Saturday pissed all over Warren's (even with Bellew) yet he was stuck with Premier.
Dropping the kid after a mistake like that would kill his confidence. Mick needs to show he has faith in him, which he will.
To be honest the coverage they got on Priemer was better than what they have been getting. Mick ****ed himself up big time. As soon as the ITV deal went he should of struck a deal with Sky with the Super 6 and Frochs involvement for him to out price himself has seen him loose John Murray to a rival. If he was on Sky I cant see Murray leaving him but since he had no solid tv deal he has been left in the ****. You learn from your mistakes but IF I was Mick I would be looking at the ams in the UK in the next couple of months and try and get the best talent to turn pro that have failed to make the London Games.
Just got my Boxing Monthly through the post and it says that Hennessey has signed a deal with Premier to show his UK shows - I assumed it was just a one-fight deal - but good news for Premier Sports subscribers
I heard he turned up for meetings to pitch for a sky deal and kept eating the biscuits. No-one at sky could find a jammie dodger for love or money. Say what you want about Maloney and fat latvians but he knew to leave it at one chocolate hob nob.
