Interesting fight. I found the comparison of your defensive posture to Archie Moore quite accurate actually. Foreman, of course, also used a similar style in his "second" career. I think it's great that you are releasing these videos. Besides having interest for those of us who are familiar with your career as a promoter, it really gives a window into the life of a journeyman boxer. The commentator's reference to your fighting for some extra "Christmas Money" brought home why journeymen are taking fights on short notice, etc. This video shows also that you had quite a bit of heart in that ring to keep getting up from knockdowns. Not everyone "fighting for a paycheck" would have done that, I don't think.
Kirinooooooo!! That guys a real humble individual and truly a class act. Ex- Gang member turned pro boxer and actually became world champion. He started off his carreer as "bate" for other boxers and never even trained in is early stages (as his record reflects), he was in it for the money like any other kid from the slums of Juarez Mexico. I could not understand a word he said but when I thanked him for the the fight after wards you could tell he seemed like a hell of a guy.I heard in Juarez he used to sale 4000 tickets............ Man that's A STAR THER , he used to swim to the USA Fight and swim back after the fight , Now thats a Road Warrior.LOL
