Przemyslaw Saleta who on Wednesday gave one of his kidneys to his daughter is in a coma and his condition has worsened.

Przemyslaw Saleta, Polish boxing and kickboxing champion, who gave one of his kidneys to his sick daughter Nicole, is in a drug-induced coma.

Saleta’s condition has all of a sudden deteriorated significantly and the boxer had to be transported to hospital.

It is yet unknown just how serious Saleta’s condition actually is. He is under constant observation by the doctors from the hospital where he had his kidney removed on Wednesday.

Not sure if anyone is anyone really a fan, but it sucks when this happens to somone. :[

    Hope he gets well soon.

    That sucks!

Coming from someone who's father got a kidney transplant almost a year ago, and from someone who was more than willing to give up his own kindey, that is a damned shame!

I hope he pulls through and I hope everything works out for him and his family, especially the daughter who received the new kidney.

It does suck, and I really hope he pulls through. He somtimes commentates when theres big fights in Poland. He was a kickboxing champ, and he was also Vitli Klitschko's, as well as his, sparring partner. He might have not achieved the great successes he had in boxing than in kickboxing, but it really sucks when a boxer goes through this kind of stuff : (

Hope he gets better, but he did it for his daughter. I bet he would do it again in a heart beat given the chance.

Thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I was never impressed with him as a boxer (he seemed to have zero snap to any of his punches) but this is the sort of thing that deserves everyone's support and praise. I hope he pulls through and his daughter gets/stays healthy as well. It would be a very rough life if your dad died giving you a kidney, so for both their sakes, I hope things turn around.

Anything news on his & her conditions?

Life is too short to sing a sad song. I wish I could understand that all the time. You hate to hear about things like this. You never know when your number is up.

    :-(

It sucks when anyone goes through this kind of stuff. I hope he pulls through.

It would really be horrible to die saving your daughter's life, especially during Christmas. :-(

    Very sad news.

According to TVN24 he is doing better, but this information is from an unofficial source. The doctors are not answering any of the media's questions as to the state Saleta is in, because they, and the family do not want anything other then facts, and confirmed information to get out.

His daughter though, Nicole, is doing fine. The operation was a success and she feels great.

    Operation took place Dec. 5th.

Hope he pulls through, I'm sure he will as he is a tough guy. Sad to hear about this kind of stuff happening to anybody.
