Good to see Ryan Waters on the mend an ready to face St Clair.

    Ryan Waters Ready

    ftm smh - Feb 18th 2011

Cronulla boxer Ryan Waters has recovered from the vertebrae injury he suffered during his fight with Anthony Mundine, which was so severe doctors thought he had been in a car crash, and will fight former two-time world champion Gairy St Clair at the Sharks leagues club next month.

Waters, 33, said St Clair, who has fought quality opponents including English superstar Amir Khan and world champions Jackson Asiku, Lenny Zappavigna and Mlungisi Dlamini, was a well-credentialled opponent.

''My back has fully recovered, I don't even think about it now,'' Waters said.

''I'm looking forward to fighting Gairy St Clair, he was a two-time world champion … He's no slouch.''

St Clair using Johnny's name with that load of tripe was very poor form...

Pulling out of a fight (with Costello in Melb. if memory serves me correctly?) because he just didn't want to be in there and claiming it was because Johnny had a nightmare that he'd got badly injured, a preminition as you correctly called it...

    ****ing please! :patsch

This is an absolute joke of a fight. Shame on EVERYBODY involved... St Clair is as done as done can be and he gets offered a fight at Light MW!!!! This may be one of the worst match ups in recent years in Oz and that's saying something... Gairy in his prime and it's a horrible match ... Gairy the state he is in now and I seriously fear for his well being
