The Minter who fought Antuofermo and Hagler v the Leonard who also fought Hagler.

Minter would be cut to shreds. Leonard would coyly outbox him until the inevitable happened. To give him credit though, Minter would stay on his feet throughout until it was stopped.

Makes sense. If Minter does n't cut up though,Leonard could be in for a long night.

True, because Minter was a very strong and smart fighter...a rugged guy, but with one severe problem in his tendency to cut.

Alan Minter was getting his arse kicked by Sugar Ray Seales, and then turned it around with one-punch.

Could see the same thing here,,,,,with Alan putting a little twinkle in Ray Leonards eye,
    with a mid-round TKO,,,,Round 7.

I don't see any evidence of Leonard being taken out with 1 shot :huh

Goto go with LEonard, a different class of boxer

Minter in a 12 round upset over Leonard.Ray is going to find he's a tad bit over his head in this one.

Jan M, seales, Finnegan (x3) Harris, = Alan usually had plenty of trouble when up against a shifty class boxer, Sugar Ray more than qualifies on this account, A second half / Last Quarter Cuts Stoppage sounds about right to me.

    Leonard.
All the reasons stated above. Either way on cuts... or not.

Leonard. Better boxer, better fighter. Different class, against an opponent with several weakness' Ray usually shined exploiting.

C'mon, Leonard was smaller and less powerful in 1980, but he was more savvy, quicker and a better boxer overall... Leonard would simply stay away and pick his spots while piling up points enroute to taking Mintor apart over 15 rds...

Minter would take Leonard apart & win by TKO, If LaLonde could put Leonard down then Minter would waste him. Far to many fairy tales here about Leonard who was gassing out big time against a slow one dimensional Hagler after 6 rounds. Minter is a top class operator & it's a miss-match. Leonards too SLOW against a genuine prime 160lb fighter & Minter would be way to fast & would jap Leonard into oblivion. Where does all this much vaunted Leonard speed bull**** come from at 160:lol: He never had any!!

He never fought any genuine young gun 160lb. It was'nt called the senior's tour for nothing. Just watch the Terry Norris schooling & thats what he'd get at the hands of Minter all day/every day.

Leonard could not cut it outside of 147 against top ranked fighters & Kevin Howard exposed that BIG TIME. Leonard at 160lb is a punch bag for any legitimate top 10 fighter at 160LB or anywhere for that matter & Leonards only hope is that he can fluke a cut on Alan who IMO batters Leonard senseless. Leonard has to fight Minter as he's always fought & thats to plant them from the 1st ring a ding & have a scrap with Alan who will only be too happy to oblige:D

What an insult to a genuine Undisputed Middlweight Champion in thinking that a 1 fight cherry picker like Leonard had even the remotest chance against a genuine 160LB champion. Anyone & Everyone from the top 10 beats Leonard at 160LB in 87 & Alan Minter was a superb boxer who had the tools a plenty to more than handle the Leonard of 87 & IMO Leonard would look like a ****in yoyo the amount of times his arse hit the deck before he was stopped or retired in his corner:deal

If Leonard had fought SIBBO it would have been a MASSACRE....SIBBO in 6 KO.
