its gonna suck without the hbo crew but i'll still watch it.

i gotta agree with u guys here. I will most likely watch but dont like the fact of no Hbo coverage.

 

Come on now the Showtime crew is just as good with out the dick riding from Lampley "Bam ,Bam "!

I like the Showtime crew especially Bernstein but prefer HBOs announcing team overall (not their BAD team, they're a distant third) and their higher production values.

 

I like HBO too, i dont know about Showtime with Antonio tarver and that other guy lol

 

Al Berstein trumps all HBO analysts. But yes it won;t be the same without Merchant's and Lampley's emotionally driven rants, no matter how biased they usually are.

 

I like Tarver's commentary. Showtime has improved since adding him to the broadcast team.

Showtime crew > or = HBO crew

HBO has Max, Papa, Jones, and Lederman, but it also has Lampley, Merchant, and Steward. Do the pluses outweigh the minuses? Merchant is the most annoying piece in boxing (Arum, Roach aside), Steward has lost his head over the past 6-8 months, and Lampley... his analysis is fine but his voice pisses me off and need I say more than "BAM! BAM!" Yes, I do: "BAM! BAM! BAM! All day, BAM! There's another one. BAM!"

 

True fans watch because they want to see the fight. Not hear Lamply, Merchent or any of the showtime crew. I watch a couple of japanese and spanish fight, was even better cause I really have to score the fight closley.

 

^^ I agree with that post above me it really shouldn't matter who is announcing the fight, but Showtime's crew is better than the HBO crew.

I much prefer HBO's crew to SHO's. SHO seems like amateur night in comparison.
