No chance on gods green planet, remember Murray is a big lightweight and Mitchell has gone up in weight prior to the Prescott fight, Murray will walk Mitchell down the whole fight and take any punches that are thrown at him en-route to a late stoppage victory (as proven against a fair banger in Gary Buckland). Mitchell gets sparked imho and willing to have £50 stake at betfair with anyone who disagrees.

Hopefully Kevin Mitchell gets back into the mix again, I think there are better things to come from him if he can stay focused and well managed.

After the Katsidis debacle, Kevin should thank his lucky stars that he has Warren as his backer, and able to get him into a meanigful fight against Murray. Sometimes you have to take a step back to move forward, and he should regard this in this way if he still has belief in his ability as a fighter. If Katsidis was just a blip, he should get in there and prove it. For God's sake, Murray is not King Kong. Yes he is strong, he comes forward, and is hurtful with his punching. But Kevin has talent. One defeat has not made him a bad fighter, although the months on the lash after losing to Katsidis will not have helped, and he has the speed to give Murray problems. Murray struggles with fighers who have decent footwork, because he is not exectly Sugar Ray Leonard in the way he moves. I personally believe Murray wins the fight because this haggling suggests to me that in his heart Mitchell doesn't want the fight because he doesn't think he will win. But I could be wrong. If so,and if Mitchell believes he can win this, he should swallow his pride and get out there and fight. If he wins, the big money is back. It's as simple as that.

What worries me about that statement is that he seriously thinks he can beat Katsidis...

Kevin Mitchell could have had the greatest training camp in history going into that fight and all it might have achieved was an extra couple of rounds or so... If you think differently take a look at the promotional photo of the two of them in an empty Upton Park when Mitchell, litearally, looks like a schoolboy who is having a photo with an idol.

I like Kevin Mitchell. He's a good lad but a deluded one if he thinks he is anywhere near World title level.

    What should he be doing?

Calzaghe used to go shopping regular.

    Or to the bookies.

    It's whatever helps you relax.

It was either in "momma's Boy" or the other one, which I have forgotten the name off, but Lennox used to infuriate Emanual Steward by sleeping in the dressing room prior to fights.

No, it wasn't the shopping that caused Mitchell's loss but a combination of simply not being good enough, which was most paramount, and a poor camp.

Before Mitchell gets back in the ring it needs to be decided what the dominant factor behind his poor performance was.

My money is on the Nike Air Max he bought a few hours prior to the fight.
