well everything on my body is pretty nicely toned (chest, arms, legs, etc.) except my abs, i want a six-pack (because what boxer doesnt have one) but i cant seem to get it, i run at night and do other forms of cardio along with boxing, and every other night i do an ab workout, and i eat right so idk, is it something that i need to just keep working t it, or am i doing something wrong?????

lolz, but you get what i mean, most boxers have nice abs
well my ab routine is 35 reps of each exercise, and there are about 6, such as leg raises crunches and some others that idk the name of but its about six different ones and then i immediately flip over and do as many pushups as i can do until my arms burnout

What's your diet like? Nearly all men will lose weight everywhere else until they have the spare tire left around the stomach, that takes quite a bit of work to get rid of.

Comes down to having low body fat as well as developed abs. Only time I ever had a six pack was when I was running 30+ miles a week and did a core routine 3 times a week. My body fat at the time was about 9% at the time.

30 miles a week? sweet jesus. Lucky if I hit 6 miles a week. I do a lot of sprints though, fast, with explosive exercises, but my abs usually show pretty good if I am working out with sprints, interval training, twisting situps, those things Rocky does on the bench in Rocky IV where his legs are all extended in the air and he lowers them slowly. Lots of jump rope. I do my abs every day. A lot of it is body fat if you are already doing a lot of ab exercises.

I was training for a half marathon so was putting in a more miles than I would do now.

The rocky exercise are called dragon flags, one of my favourite core exercises also.

yeah some peoples genetic makeup are just not that toned...hence Julio Ceaser Cavez Jr, i'd say check your diet better...try not to eat before bed, I seen De La Hoya training with those ab slimmer bands for his last fight with PacMan.. i tried it out, they work pretty good to make you sweat a ton off your midsection.

  10. 35 Reps 6 excersizes is the problem I do this everyday :

    150 situps
    100 5kg crunches
    100 5kg ab rotations
    100 eblow to knees
    50 situps with 2.5kg
    50 lower ab excercises
    50 v ups
    50 situps with twist
Finish off with some thin tummy excersizes

You may be eating the wrong foods such as high gi fruits which are healthy and so on but are full of sugar , some people need to really watch what they eat for there 6 pack to come through and drink as much water as possible also

can you give me a day's worth of foods to eat bro?????

  12. It depends on what you do in the day mate , I labour all day so i have to eat more than the average Joe , but I will say , eat meat or some form of protein with every meal , eat lean meats like chicken fish , or eat eggs , eat dark green vegtables/salad and eat low GI fruits such as : apples pears grapefruit plums , and eat wholemeal clean carbs such as brown rice , wholemeal bread , yam , sweet potatoes , and basically eat 5/6 small meals a day , and snack on things like nuts , fruits , which will boost your metabolism , meals sizes , you know your own body just eat enough to fill you up but you should never feel stuffed after a meal ! Also drink plenty of water it helps flush unwanted fat away , DONT skip breakfast and dont eat before you go to bed !

Note before or after a workout high GI fruits and Carbs are ok to eat because you body needs the fuel

I have a full 6 pack and am getting there to the 8. It takes a lot of dedication in keeping the diet clean, training hard and having a challenging abs routine not just doing 'this many sets' of crunches. you need to force your body to adapt constantly.

If you have a ring of fat around your abs then you must put in the hard hard work to get rid of it through diet and training.

  14. thats a good point , dont follow the same routine for weeks on end , you need to confuse the muscles !
