How about this for a fantastic LHW match up.
Hopkins vs Erdei. Hopkins is highly loved in America and Erdei has a fantastic LHW resume. Both are 2 weight world champs.

    So who would win?
First pick who would win if the fight were in America and then who would win if the fight was in Europe

Due to Hopkins having a style weakness for fast two handed fighters his own size, I think Erdei would outpoint Hopkins for a clean clear win in America.

If the fight was in Europe, I think Erdei would win clearly also, but due to Hopkins not being as good when fighting away from America, think Hopkins would go down a couple of times.
Hopkins struggles to win big fights away from America and in both his world title fights outside of America got put down twice in both and only scraped a draw in both, so think Erdei would also score a knockdown or two.

    So lets read your opinions

Anyone? Or is it obvious to most that Erdei would have beaten any version of Hopkins?

hopkins would school erdei even at 46, too good of a boxing brain, use of dirty tactics and his awesome skills would have erdei swinging at air

Erdei's handspeed might give BHop problems early but the old man takes away the jab very well and Zsolt is very much left hand dependant which is bad news for him. Outbox Hopkins? Erdei is highly skilled but it's easier said than done. Outwork? Zsolt is not a very active fighter. I see maybe a competitive but ultimately wide decision win for BHop, 9-3ish.

Erdei also has very good boxing skills and Hopkins has trouble with fast 2 handed fighters his own size (Jones, Taylor twice, Calzaghe, Pascal) like he has a style weakness. I think Erdei would expose that again

Erdei has a very good jab, but that isnt all he has by any means. I think Hopkins would have his usual strong finish but I still think Erdei would get the better in the later stages

It is a universally accepted fact that Hungarians have more heart than Americans thus making Erdei's victory inevitable!

This fight should be happening and Dawson should be fighting Pascal with the winners to meet. Unfortunately Golden Boy and the WBC conspired to **** things up.
