They’ve got no background in boxing,” Arum, actually 79, said Tuesday of the HBO matchmakers Golden Boy Promotions advises. “They rely on Oscar, who’s a dummy. Oscar is*one of the stupidest guys I’ve ever met. I’m just saying what it is. The guy is really not smart. Forget just ‘not smart.’ He’s not just even average.”

What makes Arum ****in' mad at dela Hoya?

Oscar is his main competitor from a business perspective it seems logical that he is looking to destroy gbp and gain marketshare, I think thats one of teh reasons he made mosley leave them and is also promising other fighters a chance at pac when they either join toprank or leave golden boy, Arum is definitely winning this war at this point I will give him that allthough I really despise the guy as a boxing fan.

Yep, remember Oscar took control of his career by leaving TR and created GBP, figuring he can do better. He was right. But in the process made an enemy of the old man.

GBP for that reason has been good for boxing, it gives boxers alternative to TR. But Arum as of late is putting the hammer down. And that hammer is called Pacquiao.

Pac alone has allowed TR to really stick it to GBP - he beat OLDH, almost turned JMM against his own promotion company, got Mosley out of their (an investor in GBP mind you), and has really put a lot of pressure on PBF+ GBP relationship. Arum even put the GBP and HBO partnership in the hot seat, including the executives.

Imagine how boxing would be if Pac really just signed with GBP????

Not sure if he is going to win all these battles, but he is surely taking on a lot of people. And I don't think a lot of people in the press really like. They just have to play ball since All Roads to Lead to Arum.

When you read Leon say "Floyd is a G" --
Well Arum is an OG and PBF is more like little g.

Floyd is about as gangster as a rapper compared to Arum.

hes a "not even of average intelligence" millionaire, if not already, soon to be billionaire. Seems to me that the crooks have their nickers in a knot because ODLAH is beating them at their own game.

Arum, or King would cuddle up to anyone, each other , or Bealzeebub himself to suit any current purpose. They're also both fast as lightning to turn on a former friend as well as a current enemy.
Arum hates Oscar today, will love him tommorow, and The Golden Boy will display his endless huge toothy grin in any event.

Arum is a very intelligent man as is Don King , different backgrounds but still as effective. Oscar needs the help of Swiss bankers to run his business and for now is the golden boy , but has he really put on that many good shows??? I dont think so he isnt working with Floyd , isnt working with Manny. Shane and Bernard have left him. I dont think as a promoter he has added to the sport.

Arum and King are of the same ilk, from the same era. They've been in the sport together for over 30 years. Any animosity they had for each other would've died away with the years and they've come to respect each for the great things they've both done for the sport. It's like a mutual respect between two old warlords.

DLH is just a punk fresh on the block, with talk of monopolising the sport and already getting preferencial treatment from HBO without having earned it, which was disrespectful to Arum and King who've never enjoyed a great relationship with HBO despite all they've done and proven.

To compound this, Oscar came out with derogatory and anti-semitic comments about Arum and then tries to ruin the reputation and career of Bob Arum's biggest cash cow by labeling Pac a drug cheat in his Ring blog, which was a disgrace in itself. That led to lawsuits being filed, and Golden Boy are currently suing Top Rank for another matter. Naturally two people are hardly going to be complimentary to each other when they are suing each other.

No doubt Arum was bitter for the ungrateful DLH leaving him after helping make him a pound for pound megastar. But it didn't stop them working together all those years before Mayweather-Pacquiao was negotiated and that infamous Ring blog, and they made so many great fights together.

Arum went berkerk like that in the JMM-Pacquiao rematch postfight press conference.
Arum had a bad choice of words for team Marquez who was being applauded by the media members there.

......it irked Arum so, that team Marquez was making perfect sense in their description of Marquez' handling and then getting robbed vs Pacquiao, that Arum went to pieces and had a rant just like the one he now is having on DLH.:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Its just in Honest Bob's character!:deal

Arum hates any fighter that was with him and left.

He views them as enemies, Oscar being the biggest one.

And I also think Arum is still pissed that he missed out on PBF-DLH. The 2 guys got together, made a massive payday, and Arum got nothing.

Arum is nothing if not bitterly competitive.
