Yep, he does but he should do it like I with my gf's. Before giving the boot he should find a better one.
**** yes he should. Povetkins career has gone NOWHERE since he hired Atlas. He was a promising contender in 2008. In 2011 he's lost recognition and is fighting bull**** fights. He's become nearly irrelevant
Teddy knows a lot about boxing but he is a shitty career manager and not a great trainer because he does not understand how to be a teacher. I would drop Teddy like a bad habit.
Atlas is most likely the best man for Povetkin. He's very experienced and actually cares more about his fighter than about the dollar bills. Where else do you find a package like this these days? Povetkin knew that he needed to go back to school and improve his defense and tactics drastically in order to beat Klitschko and and who else could be a better man for this job than the former apprentice of Cus D'Amato? The talk about Povetkin being on the decline since Atlas took over is just the gossip of a bunch of boxing newbies. Povetkin can easily beat everybody in the division except the Klitschkos and Solis. To get to the very top he needs a ton of tune up fights to really get the newly learned stuff deeply entrenched into his subconscience. Otherwise the new skills will not be available when they are really needed.
horrible decision to start with, now, after a couple of years, it is difficult to admit you are wrong. Povetkin is not a youngster anymore and I doubt he learns many new tricks. Just a shame, could have been a good challenge for the Ks.
Agree. He's wasted a good chunk of his prime now ducking out of scheduled fights with Wlad. (He did it twice, which led to Wlad v. Rahman and Wlad-Peter II). Although I don't agree about him being a particularly good challenge. I think either one blows him out of there.
yes he should. Povetkin was highly motivated and rocketed through the ranks. then Atlas got a hold of him and put fear into him. get out before it's too late.
