He has the potential to beat all the WW, Floyd too, if floyd wants the fight that is, he can go the whole 9 yards

Cotto is old school in his approach to boxing. He makes a lot of money for him and his family, but he fights the best out there and beats them. Cotto will have no quarrel fighting anybody let alone Floyd Mayweather Jr, and he is talented enough to beat him. He won't be the favourite, but Cotto can go as far as he wants to go because he is also thinking about his legacy rather than his money.

He has the talent and the mentality to become an ATG.

Time will tell whether he becomes the next Edwin Rosario or the next Roberto Duran.

He has all the attributes to do so, is young enough to make a real dent over the next 3 years. The thing I like about Cotto too, is he has this vulnerableness to him, you know any second he could come under the kosh, but even if he did he'd fight his way out like a warrior, he's exciting, has a raw power, and good boxing technique. The next couple of fights could be defining for him , dependant on who he fights. I would love Cotto vs Margarito or of course Cotto vs PBF.

I've only seen him beat Judah and exposing his poor defense, and a really old Sugar Shane barely. I need to see more before I make any ATG talk.

I am going to be honest with you, at first I thought he might achieve the status of Jesse James Leija. Not to say that is a bad thing, there are thousands of fighters that would love to make that class.

After beating Mosley, he makes me think he can go higher than that. Especially since he was willing to correct his guard after the Judah fight. Notice how much more difficult he is to find with a left hook. I know Mosley and Juday line up differently, but you can still see what I'm talking about.

His determination and work ethic appear to be that of an all time great, and his athletic ability may be there as well. His chin appears shaky, but he has yet to lose because of it.

Time will tell, but he could make it.

He will never be on Duran's level probally but he has the potential to be greater that Rosario. Cotto has ATG talent for sure.

Yeah, he's likely never to reach Duran's status. Perhaps he can reach the greatness of Chavez though, but even then, it's way too early to say.

he has talent enough to be an ATG, but has to fight for a while yet with some big wins to get there. This is just to soon to be able to tell where he'll fall as/if an ATG.

But we'll get a better idea if/when he fights PBF.

No. Cotto will hit a wall in 2008 and that wall bears the name Mayweather.
