Didn't Luis Collazo start out as a junior middleweight?

Collazo looked seriously muscled in the Berto fight. I hope he wont get much bigger.

collazo is good, but why hes been so inactive i dont know!. sad to see.
hope he gets the good fights at 154,v cotto would be good,v clottey?v alverez and berto rematch would be nice to see.

he needs to perform a little better to make sure fights arent as close.

As the thread-starter said. He has been inactive because he was sitting out his contract with Don King. Probably had a clause that it would be extended if he fought.

He broke his hand early against Mosley. I think he would've lost anyway but not get outclassed like that.

damn shame this guy gets no respect. he beat hatton easily. fought a close fight with berto, in which a lot of people thought he won. hopefully, he can be picked up by GB or TR and make some noise again

I dont know about that. He had Hatton on ***** street a few times in that fight. Yes he was kd in the first round, but it was more of a flash kd. Close fight but I feel Collazo did enough to win. You have to remember, HBO had a lot riding on Hatton at the time. It was his first of a 3 fight deal he had with HBO in order to build a name for himself for a final showdown with Floyd. I highly doubt they would let Collazo take the win.

Wondered what happened to Collazo. He's a good fighter, beat Hatton IMO. Is he going to stay at 154?

    Good point.
Another thing is Collazo needs to be more active sometimes. He probably would have won the Hatton and Berto fight if he would have been more active.

He is not underrated, he is just too inactive to be recognized.. But yeah, he is a great fighter and can make some noise for sure.

Two fights I think would be really interesting for him right now. Yuri Foreman and Carlos Quintana. I'd love to see them. As much for seeing where he's at as seeing where they're at.
