Benavidez and DeGale seem like fairly safe bets. They both seem to have a well-rounded skillset despite it being early in their careers. Sillakh has impressed me every time I've seen him too - it won't be easy getting a title at 175 but I definitely think he'll be there or thereabouts.
Nobody from the UK or else where mentioned Kel Brook? I think he will definitely be a world champion in a few years. I know he isn't fighting the best but still, the way he boxes its pretty awesome to watch. But I agree with most other posts. Its going to be great to see all these up and comers prove themselves. Its amazing that boxing has such a pool of talent and people still complain its dying? Its ridiculous, people just need to appreciate todays fighters more and accept the golden age of the great boxers has long gone and times have changed.
Think - Love the Avatar. I was going to say - Kel Brook will 100% hold a world belt soon. He could do a decent job cleaning up the division. I think Cleverly will get the WBO belt, but I think he will be around the fringes of P4P top 10, but never really make it to be a linear champion. And I'm Welsh so should be a bit biased to Nathan. Fun Time Frankie Gavin, will have problems with his punch power - he can't break eggs. World Belt - perhaps. Finally James deGale - I was really impressed with the way he took apart Paul Smith. He has a great attitude, good chin, bags of confidence and every punch in the book. Great footwork, great hand speed - he's a lefty and throws all angles. This one has all the tools to be top 10 P4P. Warren will look after him for the next 2 years and get him a world title shot. He's in a very strong division however, but he is maturing nicely. On the domestic scene - he will eat George Groves for breakfast.
Frankie Gavin- All around just a very good fighter. More well-rounded than DeGale IMO and makes very few mistakes. Luis Garcia- The guy has everything it seems. He is quite aesthetically-pleasing in the way he fights also, just a matter of keeping focus. Felix Diaz- 2008 Gold Medalist with a lot of talent. At 5''5, he's quite a short light-welter, but he has the goods I think. He makes up for his lack of height with excellent timing amongst other atttributes. Not afraid of a challenge either, he's up against Nuzhenko next, despite the fact he has had less than 10 fights. Luca Giacon- Not very well known, but looks quite a decent fighter all the same. All his wins are by way of KO, but he doesn't strike me as a particularly massive puncher, more of a relatively tidy boxer with decent-to-good power.
