Even serious boxing fans are not talking about this yet. Apart from crazed threads on ESB that is. I think most people have come to the conclusion that until the first punch lands the fight is not happening.

The ink has just dried on the contract and the fight isn't scheduled for another 3 months time...

The hype will kick in, eventually, and this will be huge.

I think that may be something to do with Setanta to be honest.

If Sky can convince so many people that Haye vs Harison was worth watching then there is no doubt that they can morph this into the biggest British boxing event of the decade.

I think a lot of people are a little gunshy on it too, considering what's happened before and the fact that no-one really knows if Wlad has an injury or an 'injury'.

Hype will build. Haye-Harrison was pretty quiet for a while before ramping up big in the last month.

By the time it comes around (if it ever does), with Sky behind it it will obviously be huge in this country. The timing of it and the heavyweight factor means it could possibly be bigger than Hatton v Mayweather. But the date and venue hasn't even been decided yet so there's not much for the media to get behind right now other than 'it should happen' etc.

    1) It's still a heck of a long way off yet. We've still got nearly four months to get through first.

    2) We don't even have a definite date/venue to get excited about yet.

    3) Wait until the pair have their first press conference in England. This thing will go bat-****.

Im still being quite cautious... anything could still happen... I mean for a start the whole 'Vitali to replace Wlad' in case of injury is pretty crazy too when you think of it... as if both boxers are a single entity or something... not really seen much like this elswhere... ie a fixed contract stating Boxer B replaces Boxer A in case of injury... then again what the the **** do i know lol. Imagine Wlad pulling out the week before the fight...and then Vitali stepping in..

there is not much love for either fighter so not much love for the fight. Wlads fights are pretty dull and hayes last fight was abysmal so just not too much to get excited about.

It was covered all day long on Radio Five yesterday, given a prominent position in every sports bulletin and talked about on most every show (I work from home so have that, or Radio Four, on in the background all day). I got so sick of folk who don't know about boxing suddenly attempting to act like they're hardcore fans that I had to put it off in the end.

And this is three months away.

If it's still "on" at 3 weeks out from fight night, the hype will be ramped right up.

I have serious doubts this will happen.
Apart from Haye's obviously atrocious record with this fight, I'm a bit concerned about Wlad's recent behaviour and injury, and the talk from his camp about maybe subbing Vitali.

Casual fans: "This Klichko dude is much shorter and lighter than the big ugly ****er Haye already beat, so Haye will win easily."
