i wouldnt bet on this fight. Mayorga could cause an upset. Cotto stoppage is the most likely though.

Agreed, Mayorga is a threat to anyone he fights.

 

Cotto TKO 8th round. Mayorga has no shot at all to win this he hasn't won a top fight in 8 years.

At first i said Cotto by UD

But after watching Cotto and hearing Cotto talk about this fight,He sounds determined and very focused. He makes me believe that he has no doubt that hes going to take out Mayorga.

I now say Cotto by Mid round/Late stoppage

 

Cotto stops him somewhere near round 9.

 

i have mayorga on a small bet at +650. I agree on a cotto stopage being the most likely outcome. But if mayorga can fight the way he did against Mosely 2.5 years ago, he could score the upset with an early ko. he looked phenomenal at the press conference the other day when he lifted his shirt up. two weeks ago he claimed to be 162. he is not coming for a paycheck and to survive. he is coming to ko cotto or get ko'd trying.

i believe that cotto's chin is ruined. if he gets cracked good one time, i think he goes down and then out. mayorga is probably not the guy to do it, but cotto is on borrowed time. other than chavez jr. and bundrage, cotto is the only 154 guy that alvarez has a chance against.

after the weigh-ins, i believe that mayorga will ultimately go off at +450.

 

if Cotto tries to bang with Mayorga i think this fight gets very sketchy in the scorecards and im still not sold on that chin of Cotto's.

If Cotto boxes like he shows us in spurts at times....he should win fairly easy.
