Its good for the sport that this fight is finally happening, but what will be the impact on boxing in general if the following happens?

Haye wins a contentious SD & retires without a rematch.

Probably the least likely result but what if.....?

A Haye win followed by his retirement, would be bad for the HW division. Very bad.

I think the worst possible result is if Audley Harrison re-enacts the parachuting incident in the Bowe/Holyfield fight.

"YO DAVID, CAN I HAVE MY REMATCH BLAD"

Haye's retirement talk is simply a promotional tool, even if you don't want to watch another Valuev snoozefest, buy my PPV because I won't be around for long. And the British fans are buying it, so I won't knock a guy who can sell horse**** as exotic hot chocolate.

The worst would be both fighters waiting on the other to come to him, it'd be almost as bad as Haye/Valuev and Klit/Ibragimov with a debated points ending where fans argue who did less and deserved to lose more.

If Audley came down on a parachute he may actually hit something.

How times change. A couple of years ago many people considered a Haye victory great for boxing.

That's funny and it would be bad, but I think it would be worse if Valuev did that. He might obliterate the fighters, the judges, the referee, the ring girls and the first three rows around each side of the ring.

I think he's been claiming that will be his retirement age long before he had a PPV deal, and I think before he even held a title at cruiser.

****ing hell, way to go one better. I hope that happens, I really do. There'd be nothing better than an airbourne Nikolai Valuev returning to reclaim his throne.

To the best of my knowledge there is no rematch clause in their contract.

:deal This is exactly what WILL happen. Put your mortgage on it that this fight will be a massive letdown, like ALL other David Haye PPVs.

David Haye is gunna talk for the next 4 months now about how exciting its gunna be and how brutally hes gunna smash Wlad and how violent the KO will be....and then hes gunna get in there and do the exact opposite.

We've seen it before. So unless Wlad rushes in and taked Hayes head off early in rage, then this fight will be a letdown and an embaressment. Bank it

And? It's still just talk. He's still around and will be unless he gets Maccarinelli'd, something I don't wish for any professional athlete. There's a lot of money to grab because he can sell with his mouth, and he's smarter than throwing it away.

what if Wlad pizza faces haye for 12 rounds, being careful not to ko haye, then in the 12th Haye lands a random ass Hayemaker and Wlad can't get up.

    and then Haye retires.

I cant see the klits agreeing to no clause. Its standard practice..

If it were to happen then Haye kills the HW division and takes it into retirement with him..
