Jones. He was so dominant that he just got bored at times and didnt care much. Judah. He lost to Baldomir ffs.
How come noone mentions Valuev? His fights against Donald, Ruiz, Chagaev, Holyfield, Haye were absolutely abysmal in terms of really trying to win. He looked like he really didn't want to be there and never made an attempt to use his size. Imagine the fights we would have seen if Valuev would have tried to go to war against fighters that were too quick and skilled for him.
Despite lacking power, I thought Joan Guzman was going to be a real force in the lower weights until he decided to give up fighting and start eating!!!
All these are the best answers. Rocky Juarez seemed he had some good power, but lacked speed, defense, and was too lethargic and one dimensional in the ring. He'd get outboxed for most of the fight and then comes alive in the last round usually beating the **** of whoever it was he was fighting. You get the sense he might of done much better had he done that earlier or even won. :-(
How is he a great puncher? All of his KOs have come against tomato cans. His power is overrated. He's overrated.
Allen Green is a guy that seems to have all the raw talent in the world to be great but seems to lack the right mental make up.
great shout but even in his win over soto, i didn't think he looked like a great fighter but looked like a good one
Yeah I was backing up Guzman when he first started fighting on HBO. He could have been the highest Dominican boxer of note yet he decided to pack on the weight. Sad.
I thought he looked average in the soto fight too, he'd shown some good promise before that but seems like one of those fighters that has skills but just doesn't use them. Baffling really!
I know he ain't **** but he's got great power and the raw skills to be a lot better than he actually is.
