What a **** fight and this really is a poor piece of match making, this guy offers no danger what so ever and is about 10 steps back from what Degale has been facing lately.

I wasn't expecting anyone great but I was hoping for something better then this, why couldn't they bring in someone like Darnell Boone, Paul David, Robert Long, Anthony Fitzgerald.

A guy who will take him a few rounds and to keep the ring rust off and make Degale look good. Not sure what else people were expecting. To be honest this fight is probably more about hyping DeGale-Groves than being a beneficial fight for DeGale.

Whats worse is that this mismatch has actually improved the Burns card by quite a bit

Groves fought that ghanian as he was a southpaw to replicate Degale, so Degale is fighting someones ugly to replicate Groves. This was the only ugly kid to accept the fight on short notice.

Sure there are opponents out there who would look better when looking at their boxrec record. But in reality any opponent they would have got would pose no threat to DeGale a month before the Groves fight.

Not an ideal opponent, but not a problem IMO.

It's his stupid red rectangle which I can't stand. The others aren't too bad tbf. Just look a bit randomly spaced out for no real need. I like the dice ones

Odds on commentator overplaying the durability?
"He hasn't been stopped in 20 fights Jim"

What a double bill with the Burns fight!

This fight will do nothing for DeGale, he offers no chance of even competing with chunky let alone giving him a decent workout.
Get the ****ing fight with Groves on and when that ugly ginga ****** is off his back it'll be time for DeGale to move up to get the euro belt.

    Consistency:

The Board knock back Botha for Fury yet permit Kobal to fight Degale

    How's that then?
