Frazier makes his living off of appearances, signing memorbila and such. He's not well off, but he's not broke either. On par with a retired elder citizen with limited education if you will. His apartment, which was shown on the HBO document, Thirlla in Minalla " looked like a dump that had little upkeep. I highly recommend watching the Thirlla in Minalla doc. It is outstanding, and offers numerous takes from the people who were at the fight.

Doesn't seem to have made a great deal of money in the numerous lawsuits that he's filed over the last couple of years.

I assume he thought that he would be able to live out the remainder of his life on the $84 million that he was seeking against the 476 homeowners he was attempting to sue.

Just wondering, would anyone here to pay to see say Joe Frazier spar Tyson, Holmes, Holyfield or even Foreman, nowadays?

It would appear Joe lost all his money on poor judgements and partying.

Its sad he sold his gym. That was such a piece of history, and a huge part of his life. Can you imagine. That was the gym that was purchased for him when he turned pro.

    no it ain't.........!!

don't get me wrong. i am not saying i like it or something .. but....
most boxers made a hell of a lot of money more then i will ever earn in my intire life.. there are millions of people like me.. not highly educated people who work with there hands.. who work hard for there wives and kids.. we can only dream of making a million or 2 or more..
so all boxers who end up broke.. are themselves to blaim they had the opportunity to insure themselves and there familie financiele independence and they blew it.. one way or another..

Not sad at all. It should be a lesson to those who do make it about investing money and making it work for you. Could be an argument for the various councils to actually do something for the boxers for once and set up pensions with a percentage deducted from ring earnings.

Not so much for those who make millions but for those who just eke out a living.
