Mayorga's antics did get into Cotto's head. That is the only logical explanation I can think of for not having a face-off.

I would love to see Mayorga win, but he is nothing but a clown now. His last KO was years ago, he looked foolish against DLH, got KO'd by Mosley, Trinidad killed his machismo confidence, and he is older now. I don't doubt that he only trained for four rounds. If Cotto can survive the early onslaught, he will beat Mayorga.

Coward move for not posing nonetheless.

No, I mean why does he want Mayorga to kick Cotto's ass?

if the same mayorga that fought mosely shows up, there is a good chance cotto gets ko'd. mosely himself said that he favors cotto, but that mayorga presents problems and that anything can happen in this fight. mayorga almost went the entire distance with mosely and was throwing convincing punches all the way until the 12th round.

todays version of cotto, at 154, is nowhere near that of 2008 mosely.

-1350 cotto is one of the worst lines i have ever seen in the last ten years. cotto should be no better than -600.

That's because Cotto doesn't want to ruin his payday. If Cotto was scared, they wouldn't be fighting tomorrow.

LOL...if you have a look at Mayorga's previous antics against opponents, you probably wouldn't want to have a staredown either. Yea...he's afraid that Mayorga might do something before the actual fight.

I enjoy Mayorga quite a bit but we've seen it all before.

It's simply because he doesn't want Mayorga to get inside his head. He wants to fight in CONTROL not with anger because that plays into Mayorga's hands if you fight too angry you make mistakes and thats the only way Mayorga will win. Cotto by demolition in five rounds.

Cotto is smart. If anything, this got into MAYORGA's head. Mayorga needs to feel like he is getting the mental edge during confrontations like that. Cotto knowing Mayorga's history was smart to refuse to give Ricardo the pleasure of his pre-fight antics. Mayorga is probably still fuming about it right now.

I swear, anytime someone talks ****, they act as if it got into the other guys head. Cotto's prety much laughed off anything Mayorga had to say.

Don't be such a **** ... Cotto is a gentleman and a professional all the way. He even told Mayorga and clowned him for it when Mayorga tried that **** in the lead up.

The stare off is so overrated. It means **** all in the greater scheme of things. Cotto will stop Mayorga no doubt.
