I'm amazed to see 6 guys who voted for Fields already
What makes you guys believe "Big Sky" has any tool to beat Grant besides having a good punch? He doesn't even have his usual size advantage in this bout, and even an old Grant is the best fighter he ever faced. He only beat low level journeymen and tomato cans up 'till now, and then got nailed by an old Barrett (proving his first KO1 loss wasn't a fluke).

I can't see this one go beyond 4, and like many here I think it will be a KO1 win for Mike.

Pretty clearly, Grant can't afford to take the kind of flush shots from Fields that he did from Adamek. If he starts as slow as usual, it's a big danger because Fields starts quick.

However, Barrett used a short chopping counter right hand to ring Fields's bell when they fought. Fortunately for Grant, that exact punch has been his money punch throughout his career. And having seen a couple of his fights since, I can say that Fields looks technically much the same as he did before.

If Grant can do what Barrett did - make Fields commit to the left, step back and whack him with the counter right - he can knock Fields out. Sticking that long jab out to provoke Fields into the mistake would be good too. If he can't get that untracked, could be problems.

I'm backing Grant for the kayo, would love to see it happen.

Grant never lived up to his hype but was a decent heavyweight while Fields was never too good in the first place. Even at his current age Grant should be able to knock Fields out. Grant by ko.

Does the winner get a shot at Chauncy Welliver on Comcast Sports Sunday Night Fights?

Or maybe you could look at it like, Fields beat Bruce Seldon which makes him world class compared to Michael Grant :think

    Nah Grant KO3

holy **** im a bit shocked at the poll results. i picked Grant on points cause i dont think he has the pop he used to have, and Fields, although getting sparked by te much faster Barrett, knows this fight is due or die for him if he wants to be a top 30 contender.

Yeah, it took longer than I thought too, but the result was EXACTLY what I knew it was gonna be. :yep

There aren't too many "sure things" in boxing, but Fields' glass jaw getting shattered against a live body was always one of them.

Would WK be able to recover from that right hand? What about David?
