A lot of fighters have these opponents that have a style that they cant handle or physical attributes that are very hard to overcome. Name some fighters that were supposed to lose based on styles yet somehow pulled off the win, because those are almost everytime great fights. I will start off Ali vs ken norton 2/3 & frazier 2/3 Leonard vs Thomas hearns Pac vs Marquez 2 Chavez vs taylor 1 And a recent one Amir khan vs Maidana Name some more:thumbsup
i dont think maidana is a a STYLSTIC nightmare for khan, for khan a pressure fighter (margarito like) would be a nightmare, someones whos in his chest all the time, maidana is a power punching swarmer who liked to stay in the middle of the ring.
I was surprised by maidana's footspeed because he was able to get to khan, but for a guy that was supposed to be china chinned to survive those blows and come out on top, I was impressed by him didnt expect he had that in him. Do you consider brandon Rios if he were able to carry his power to 140 a stylistic nightmare for a guy like khan?
Brandon Rios has the style to be a nightmare to Khan but i dont think he has the experience yet, but if khan were to fight someone like a prime margo that would have been a huge disaster, margo might not be the most skilled but that ****er just doesn't go away, it would look like the cotto fight.
Darchinyan vs. Mijares. The "crude brawler" was supposed to get embarrassed by the smooth boxing counterpuncher. Sure didn't work out that way.
