Now that he publicly promised it - it will never happen.

I know he did hurt his hand (saw the interview with his swollen hand in it), but I always wondered if it was actually broken and if it really was in the 2nd round when it happened (like Haye claimed).
Quite sure now it wasn't. And I'm not really surprised if it actually happened in round 12 when Haye finally connected with something significant or got his hand stuck between the car door leaving the arena.

    edit: and there's the vid.

It's obvious that Haye didn't break his hand in the 2nd round. (Maybe that one right that he threw late in the round, but it looks doubtful and Haye didn't show any sign of hurting his right hand.) Was he ever seen wearing a cast? And in that 2nd round it's also obvious that Valuev couldn't let his hands go and that should be different with Wlad. Also Valuev was not effective in cutting the ring off.

There's a post fight video interview with Adam Booth on the Scene of Boxing and when asked why Haye didn't go for the knockout, he states quite clearly and repeatedly that the plan all along was to win by throwing as few punches as possible.

Nothing to do with a broken hand.

You keep saying that, but there's a s much evidence for that as there is for his back injury when he pulled out of the fight the first time, namely none.

If a big mouth was boxing skill this clown would be the greatest ever.

By the way, what ever happened to that phony investigation into his phony fight with his bud Harrision, the one where he made that little nod of the head and mouthed the word "now", and even admitted betting on his own fight and the round?

That's one stupid approach for winning in Germany against German based champion. Might still be true because of team Haye's "red shirts for aggressive and blue for tactical fight"-nonsense.

But anyway; I don't believe that his hand broke from that kind of single punch. Just like I don't believe that he intentionally carried Harrison till third. Two excuses to cover up his poor entertaining.

Maybe he tipped a knockout round for wrong dudes and they broke it when he arrived back to London. :)

I have NEVER seen a fighter fight such a disgraceful fight as what Haye did against Valuev. It was a joke and Haye should not be allowed back into Germany to fight again. 11.9 punches a round?

And he fought the SAME way the first 2 rounds as he did the whole fight this "broken hand" stuff is BS. He never had any intention of engaging with Valuev and he won't with either Klitschko either.

Like most British fighters Haye has no Chin and no Heart. None.
