    Donaire > Martinez

who the **** is Dzinziruk? the guy who got his ass whooped in sparring by Vanes Martirosyan?

Where was Dzinziruk on your p4p list before Martinez beat him?

Where was Pavlik on your p4p list when Martinez beat him?

His big win was Williams whom he fought at 160

Don't get me wrong Martinez is a very good fighter but p4p#1? talks of greatness? what are you smoking he is not even a future hall of famer yet.

I disagree. Like montiel williams was also p4p. I think williams who had never been stopped is a better win than a montiel who was dropped 6 times prior. But I respect your opinion nonito is a bad mofo

I ain'g gonna aruge for or against but he is a special fighter and it's beautiful to watch him ply his trade...my thoughts as of now: I think FMJ is not in the argument due to inacitivty, Pac is still #1 and Martinez is #2, Donaire is great but Martinez has been on a fantastic run vs. different styles and name opponents and been spectacular, so Donaire #3 and Marquez #4.

It's a shame he isn't two or three years younger with all the young talent just on the verge. Fight Golovkin right now then Pirog or N'jikam. All three would be very interesting style matchups and are ready. Then maybe Lemieux, Korobov, Guerrero after that.

lol that's his build. He has a small frame and doesn't even belong at 160.

Martinez walks around 176-178 at least (he weighs that at the start of camp) perhaps even heavier. Froch for example has stated that he walks around in the low 170's. Martinez is slightly short for SMW but to claim he's undersized is not true. Especially when comparing how he matches up with SMW's vs Pac and him who has has no problem calling out.

Williams - even if Martinez had been given the victory it would've been controversial
Pavlik - just lost to Hopkins
Williams again - destroyed him, best win of SM's career
    Dzinziruk - who?

Are you saying the above fights surpasses the following lists:

    Barrera (x2)
    Marquez (x2)
    Morales (x3)
    Hatton
    ODLH
    Cotto

    Corrales
    Gatti
    ODLH
    Hatton
    Marquez
    Mosley
    Judah?

Are people here crazy? Or just massive, blind fanatics of Martinez?

Who the **** was Donaire before he beat Darchynian?? Who the **** has Donaire ever beat other than Darchynian and Montiel??

Why did Donaire all of a sudden seem stronger when he hooked up with Conte the steroid distributer????

**** Pac and Floyd, I have Sergio and Nonito tied at number 1.

Of course, With respect to recent fights. Not taking away what Floyd and Pac done south of welter.

Martinez isn't the P4P number one based on the true meaning of pound for pound.

    Next question ?

So you're saying Pacquiao wins over Cotto, Clottey, Margarito are better then wins over Pavlik, Williams, Dzin??:lol::lol:

Any true boxing fans would know easily that Martinez in thos 3 fights beat far better fighters then Pacquiao last 3 opponents. Lets be real Pacquiao fought a skinny Cotto at a bs catchweight 145 pounds and Cotto still fell the affect of Margarito destroying him. Clottey even though is tough his best win is again way small way past his prime Judah. And Margarito is clearly not the same fighter that fought Clottey, Williams and Cotto. And the way Mosley completely destroyed Margarito shows that Margarito chin has been destroyed. And lets not forget Pacquiao was the favorite to beat those 3 fighters while Martinez was the undercard 2 in a row vs Pavlik and Williams rematch. Williams who's never lost by ko in his career before he fought Martinez in the rematch. Pavlik by many thought would tko or ko Martinez was dead wrong. And if anybody watch Dzin fight before should know easily that Dzin isn't a bum. Infact i can say he's better then unknown Clottey. And in the last 2 fights Martinez ko both Williams and Dzin in a great great great fashion while Pacquiai last 2 fights he won by decision vs Clottey and then way over the hill destroyed chin Margarito.

Martinez is my number 1 p4p. Whoever disagree is a kiss up to Pacquiao cause of his overrated wins.

Martinez was a NOBODY (meaning unknown) two years ago. His last three fights don't automatically make him #1 in the sport.
