Manny is the one saying that Cotto will KO Margarita...so why would he not be in his corner ?

good point. I didn't see it like that. I was thinking Cotto was done also, but Mayorga is tough for anybody despite his amateurishass style

 

Cotto's chin is so unreliable. If Margo gets some flush uppercuts early Cotto will lose again.

But I think Cotto's a pretty good boxer, so he can do Cotto-Margo round 1-6, but this time do it in 8 or 9 rounds and then bike his way out of a UD

 

Cotto still has the talent to compete, but just not at the elite level.....

Like I said it's not his fault, He is talented but war torn unfortunately facing to tough defeats that would retire lesser men.

When was the last time Mayorga won a serious fight? Mayorga is 5 years done. This was a glorified sparing session. Lets see how he looks in the ring with someone faster than Janet Reno.

I say to you to go ahead and bet....put your money where your mouth is and bet big.....bet your mortgage and keep in mind that Margarita is without the plaster in his wraps.....the gig is up!!!

Mayorga showed up better than I thought he would. Cotto boxed smart, weathered the rough spots, and got the stoppage.

Some people might look at the lateness of the stoppage and the adversity he faced and use to justify claims Cotto is still worse off than before, but I saw a relentless and well-conditioned Mayorga going at him with everything he had and an impressive defense and offense from Cotto securing him the win.

I watched Cotto-Mosley today before the fight, him at his best, and I saw lots of similarities.

 

And we were right. :huh I don't understand this comment.

 

He beat the #1 guy in the division right after. #1 usually qualifies as elite.
