Overated on ESB??? I mean sure Kirkland has very good power and is exciting to watch. But man some people are getting a little too ahead of themselves. knocked out a bum last week thats what he was supposed to do. Kirkland has not really faced tough opposition besides beating Joel Julio who is not so bueno. Kirkland is kind of a 1 trick pony, 1 demension as they say. People trying to throw hiim in with Martinez Ughh atsch Not hating just saying this reminds me of the Berto hype he was getting when he was coming up. I still see a lot more potential in guys like Lara and Canelo.
Eveyone knows he lack defence and everyone loves him for it. No one is overrating him. He will always have a punchers chance.
I think Kirkland is a legit top contender, but i agree with you he hasnt really been tested against top foes.. Although he did go thru Julio easier than anyone else has.. Id pick Kirkland over most of the top contenders but i agree hed be in over his head against Martinez............ Kirkland reminds me of a poormans little Tyson (thats a compliment).
