He can't be P4P#1 by dragging and beating small fighters to his weight. He should move up and fight the guys at 168 in order to fulfill his obsesssion!

why even callout pac i don't know. pac wont go above 147 again. martinez last made 147 about 10 years ago. It would be like the oscar fight all over again.

mayweather aint fighting anyone soon so why go there.

either clear out 154 or 160, or go for bute or dirrell at 168.

For me, the only fights i'd like martinez are: pac, floyd, cotto, margo(purely for revenge), sturm, chavez jr(purely for unification), bute.

Maybe down the line alvarez if he gets some big wins under his belt.

Yes, Pac and Floyd are rated higher but their are fighting at two divisions south of Sergio's, certainly, the best MW is picking cherries here! Floyd and Pac started way way lower at 130 and 108 respectively and tried to compete at 154 but both gave up the belt soon after they won it realizing that they were too small for the LMW. It may not be fair to both to drag them two divisions up to fight the best at the division who himself is a top P4Per.

Probably right at 160 but let Sergio go down to 147 and let's see how he will perform against them. I thought Pac was willing to fight him at 152 but Sergio would not even want Pac at 154. Heck, he even dragged Dzinziruk to his division, how's that for a top P4P?

Everything, especially from one who's being regarded as a top P4P himself.

Why is he not calling Margarito who I am sure would be willing to tangle with him at any weight?

But I doubt that margarito would chose him over cotto because a fight with cotto would generate more money.

Martinez got 1.2 million vs. 6 million minimum in margarito's last fight with pac

Martinez is calling out Pac and Floyd because they are considered number 1 and 2, they are a couple of divisions lower but Martinez is willing to meet them halfway. Yes it also has to do with more money fighting those names, but he has also said he wants to fight the best and become number 1. Pac has fought at 154 before against a bigger guy than Sergio, but of course not as skilled. Since Pac and his team see Sergio performing amazingly in his last fights, there is no way in hell they will fight him, they will wait until he looks bad and loses a couple of fights. Roach has admitted it and the evidence is there so there is no way we will see this fight. Mayweather is just being an idiot in staying away for this long. I give him a good chance of outpointing Martinez but he is making some idiotic decisions right now so don't expect this fight to happen either. Martinez will just have to knock out Ward, Bute, etc.
