Of course people will still tune in, but the majority of people who purchase his fights now, do so to see if he loses. Do u really think millions of ppv buyers are buying his fights to see his display of technical defense? They want to see him humbled and have his mouth shut. Sure he'll still have followers and people will still pay to see him, but not the way they pay to see him now that he's undefeated.

So funny. People think that Floyd is some kind of tickets/PPV machine or something. He isn't.

Floyd sells seats when he fights guys that already have a following!

Oscar could sell PPV with anyone.
JMM sold out the freakin arena(just like all the other Mexican fighters do), and had tons of bets on him too.
Hatton had fans fly from a different country to see him.

Those three are not proof for me.

Maybe, you can argue that he sold a lot with Mosley, and I will say that sure, he might have. But, Mosley isn't exactly a nobody, and he did have a nice following at one point.

And before that, he wasn't on PPV as a headliner. Well Judah yeah, but that didn't sell more than any other.

He can say that he is a great villain, and helps as a catalyst for already established fighters, and helps them as being the antagonist.

Well that's the catch22 aint it? The only fight people want to see is him fight Paq.

I don't get this guy for a guy named "Money" he sure is scared to make any of it. 5 years from now, when he's broke and living on the streets of Las Vegas, he is gonna kick himself in the ass when he think about all the big money fights he turned down to keep that 0. All because he was scared to take the tough fights.

    Cotto (Prime)
    Paul Williams (prime)
    Margorito (prime)
    Clottey
    Paquiao

He probably could have made 100 million if he had took on those guys when the time was right. How do thinkOscar got so rich and why he paid so highly? He fought guys when their market value was high. Now that most these guys are damaged goods, the demand for big money is not there, not to mention we are in a recession.

    You blew it Floyd.

If he stays retired it's bad for boxing. We need characters and quality boxers like him

At the end of the day he is an ATG despite the fact that alot of people hate him

He will always have Pacquiao hanging over his head and people will always question him and it will tarnish his legacy.

I think Paquiao legacy is greater if Floyd never man-up. Like it or no *****s, Pac retired Mayweather and boxing history will never forget it.:deal

I hope he comes back and makes all his doubters eat their words. Sure doubt the man, but I'm a huge fan of the fighter. Purely from a fan perspective on a boxers career, 2 more fights say pac and berto/khan/sergio/bradley etc (all depending on the situation of course). If Floyd were to manage to get 2 more Ws and go out 43-0 with the last 5 wins on his record being Hatton, Marquez, Mosley, Pac and a top contender, his career would be looked back upon in a much more positive light and only get more respected with time. Of course if he and Pac do clash then a rematch of a close or controversial fight would only add to it.

I've got a strong feeling that in the next few months we'll find everything out. If Floyds live settles outside the ring it'll all be there. Fight Pac for the giant bounty or retire It really is as simple as that.

My guess is that he will fight one more time, whoever is the king of the castle in about a year from now should expect to be called out by Floyd. But I really think it is clear by now, and Floyd has stated himself: He does not like to box anymore, his passion is long gone.

Oscar never came anywhere near 2.4mil buys before Floyd and he never did after Floyd. Starting with the Oscar fight and from then on, Floyd became a PPV attraction.

It was also the debut of 24/7 and was being billed as "the fight to save boxing". It was the most marketed fight in boxing history.
