Well...no. Just because Mayorga sprinted across the ring and waved Cotto in, like "Come on! Be stupid! Wade in here with your arms at your sides..." and Cotto didn't indulge doesn't make him a *****. Mayorga didn't have to go looking for Cotto at all. Yes, Cotto fought smart and refused to outright brawl with Mayorga but his body language hardly conveyed fear - and Cotto himself initiated most of the exchanges.
Mayorga was very game that night. That's the best I've seen of him in a while. A younger, in shape Mayorga would have KTFO Cotto. Cotto stayed very disciplined in there, which was smart.
I watched Cotto - Pac last night and he seemed so much sharper there than he did against Mayorga. He just seems that bit slower and shop worn to me.
Isn`t boxing about winning! Sure Steward had good gameplan how to beat Moyorga, and it worked! Who gives a **** how a fighter looks doing it
How was that being a *****? So fighting smart is equivalent to being a ***** now eh?? You'll be upsetting a lot of "real boxing fans" here.
I thought he handed that very well. Stayed very Calm and cool. Stuck to the game plan. Managed to land about 6 clean shots on Mayorga without getting hit. No one will have ever behaved like that to cotto, and the way he reacted was perfect.
I agree. He seems sluggish. Martinez looked so much quicker and sharper in the other fight last weekend and that was at Middleweight. Thats the wort i've seen cotto look pphysically. Although his skill level was good.
:goodHey ****ing *****........ The man has fight like a warrior in the jr and welter divisions and paid the price of the risk TWICE now he's a jrmiddle weight........following *****?.....he is small for the division, still there?....so now he s fighting the best way for the division since he's not gona be knocking out jrmiddlew 1 punch and hes 30 so he does not to go all out for casual ***fans like you, try ufc heard they have a beast lesnarlol and that boxing is dead
I don't think he fought like a *****. Infact, I thought he fought pretty hard headed at times. I wasn't impressed with Cotto.
