really have to disagree Tony, i dont think losing 2 british title fights then beating Menay Edwards and Banbula makes anyone deserving of a european title.
I am well aware that Audley etc got title shots from the back of prizefighter but IMO thats a problem with modern boxing and prizefighter results getting far too much credence. I dont see how those wins are more worthy of a title shot than a former world title holder who held the european belt and lost to a genuinely european class opponent.

Although its not cool if enzo can walk into a Euro title shot on a loss yet munroe wasn't allowed for that very reason. The EBU has a rule that a fighter coming off a defeat cannot challenge for the title although I know Maloney was looking to challenge this rule and get it changed.

Just realised this can't be happening, Enzo lost his last fight so under EBU rules he can't fight for the title, so he will have to have another fight before.

Sorry if someone has already made this point

Good point. And to the poster who said McIntosh should have stuck to kickboxing, he's European champion, in line for a big payday and getting plenty of coverage. Even if he loses his next fight then retires he's already justified the move.

Enzo won't have a problem fighting at 175. He walks around lighter than Calzaghe between fights (before Calzaghe retired anyway).

Dodson may only be getting it from this thread.

As has been stated, you can't fight for the Euro coming off a loss.

    not true
and a **** argument anyway, you know that tony

My aim wasn't to try and discredit you, my point was I dont think your recent form merits a shot but as you say, Danny Mc didnt earn a shot really either and many fighters get shots ahead of other guys.

I think Dodson - Danny Mc would be an entertaining fight for sure

Enzo will be fab at light heavyweight, his natural weight is 13st 2 and he struggled to get to 14st at cruiserweight - when he went in on fight night he would drop back to about 13st 7 which is giving a lot of weight to his opponent - Enzo will have no problem dropping to light heavy and will now go in on fight night with a weight advantage - everyone knows he has one of the most dangerous punches in the game and the punches he took would have KO'd any heavyweight let alone Enzo! Truly believe he has what it take to be world champ again and if anyone deserves it he does - he really is the nicest guy in boxing - so let's get this fight on and get him one belt on his way back up!!
