http://www.thisisnottingham.co.uk/b...son-fight/article-3333860-detail/article.html "I've not heard anything definite yet, It's getting a bit boring to be honest. I keep hearing this and that, but nothing concrete. The only thing I can say for definite is that I will beat Johnson."
Just read that. Unbelievable, really. Just over two months until the fight and we have no concrete information on anything other than the date. I was hoping to get some flights booked and hotels sorted but the closer we edge towards fight night the less likely it is that fans will be able to travel.
The organisation of the venues/dates for Froch fights have been a farce. Totally messes the fans about. If this had have been agreed earlier the flights would have been much more affordable.
Exactly, been ****ed over twice now. Had to rearrange flights and hotels when the Denmark Kessler date changed which cost me a bomb. Then I had everything booked up for Monaco before the date and venue was changed to Helsinki. :fire
Fat Mick should just make a decision and inform Froch's fans.Instaed he fiddles while Rome burns.atsch
I don't think it'd take a whole lot extra. He's not called the Road Warrior without reason. I think the problem is that Showtime are adamant they want the semi-finals in the States.
Hennessy is a really **** promoter. He's a joke. I like Froch a lot and I wish he'd drop him because Froch is a guy who really deserves the big pay checks but to get that, he'd need people to actually be aware of him. Despite Froch being part of, and being successful in, one of the biggest talking points in boxing, his popularity hasn't grown. Fewer people are aware of him now than they were when he was on ITV. It's ridiculous. I saw a Froch video of his at Forrest's ground and he was saying how he'd like to fight there. I'd like to see that too and I'd certainly go down to watch it, but the reality is, with Hennessy, it wouldn't be a success. He needs to be with Frank Warren. He deserves it, too.
Showtime need to bite the bullet and allow the fight to happen wherever it makes most financial sense.
