    A ***** move.

Top Rank gave him that big fight hes been looking for against Montiel and what does he do to repay them? Dumps them for their rivals.

How was that a big fight?

Montiel was unknown to casual boxing fans. And he hadn't fought anyone of note. Except for maybe Johnny Gonzalez who beat him.

Looking back, it didn't make sense for Donaire to enter the tounament.

From what I remember, fighters in the tourney get's only 150k for each fight, Donaire got at least 2x that on the Sydorenko and the Montiel fight.

He did the same thing to Shaw after the Darchinyan fight.

He should have just fought whoever Arum had lined up for him next for a half million (as Arum promised) and see what happens with the Agbeko/Mares fight. If Agbeko won, they could have fought since there are no issues between King and Arum.

Instead, the same thing that happened to his career after the big Darchinyan win may repeat itself after the Montiel win - a year or two of a whole lot of nothing. He only has himself to blame.

Exactly. And as long as there's a bitter rivalry, they will sign each others' fighters with a healthy bonus and put on solid fights to outshine each other - they lose but we win.

    "Floyd-Pac negotiations going well"

    Then the following week...

    "No negotiations ever happened"

Then HBO's Ross Greenburg finally speaks

    "yes there was negotiations."

how about this, GBP changing Floyd-Marquez contract to accomodate floyd's refusal to make the weight.

and if you still aren't convinced, How about GBP getting banned in the state of New York for shady accounting declarations in the Ortiz-Campbell fight

How is that GBP lying.......they were negotiating on behalf of Mayweather.....just as Arum has to negotiate on behalf of Pacquiao.

There was a point during the Pac-Hatton negotiations where Arum negotiated and agreed verbally with GBP and Hatton to a 50/50 split.

.......the next day, the fight was in danger of not happening because Pacquiao wanted more than 50%.

Did Arum lie then to GBP because he verbally agreed that 50% was fair?

No, in this instance Arum is negotiating what he thinks is fair, and he then takes it back to Pacquiao who turns it down.
Arum in this case was not lying, the fighter he was working on behalf for happened to turn down the 50%.

.......the same goes for GBP negotiating on behalf of Mayweather. GBP might thing the negotiations are going well, but that does'nt mean Mayweather is going to agree with them.
Does'nt make GBP liars for stating that the negotiations were going well. Ultimately it was Mayweather and not GBP who turned down the fight.

When has GBP outright lied like Arum did when he stated, "He's a ****ing liar, he never proposed a 14 day window, he's stating and proposing that now that the Clottey fight is about to get made. I'm not playing his games."

........and then it turned out that it was Arum that was exposed as the liar. In fact Mayweather did propose a 14 day window and Arum was right there present when it happened.

Thats an outright lie by Arum. You should give me an example like this, an "outright" lie which GBP has stated.

Promoters twist the truth all the time and that includes GBP, but to come out and outright lie like Arum does, I dont see any promoters out there who do it on a regular basis like Arum does.

So what if he got paid 1 mil? Getting paid 1 mil doesn't make Monteil a better fighter. Oh and his biggest fight is stil Dyrcynian. Before that fight, no one knew who the hell he was.
