DeGale Vs Groves Amatuer Fight Video

degales sportsmanship could do with working on a little he had a proper :|

No way did Groves win that? De Gale rocked him every single round and was playing with him at times. His straight left landed at will. Groves looked terrible and very wild and open.

 

i thought degale won that myself.

he bossed the centre of the ring early on and dictated the fight using his superior reach, i thought groves showed his inexperience there & often got caught trying to get close enough to land something.

degale got dragged into a bit of a scrap in the final round which worked in groves favour.

im a fan of groves and i think he has matured a fair bit since then but im slowly starting to be won over by degale too & even tho ive often tipped groves to beat degale i think it would be alot closer than i originally imagined.

i really hope they dont fight again yet as id like to see them settle their old score once theyve reached their peak.

what a fight that would be...

 

I hope they fight soon because Groves is not going to be on DeGales radar for too long.

Just watched this, was hard to split them imo.


Groves round 1 (close, infact I would not argue either way, groves just seemed to land the harder, more solid shots)

De Gale round 2 (clearest round of the whole fight)

De Gale, round 3 (there was a lot of missing, not a lot landed significantly but i thought De Gale picked at Groves with little shots.

Groves round 4

Hard to score the early part of this round when De Gale was on the ropes, as the ref was in the way, alhough a couple of solid rights from
groves landed cleanly, De Gale came back into the round as they
traded near the ropes, but De Gale out-punched him and scored with the
better combo, later in the round De Gale tried to take it to Groves
but both missed a lot of punches, although groves sneaked a left
hook and an uppercut on De Gale.


Very close fight, hard to score, but if I had to pick a winner, I would say Groves just about edged is based on his aggression, he seemed to outhussle De Gale a bit, infact I suspect that is how they had him winning, based on that, which is fair imo.

 

I did not think Groves looked good, I also agree that he looked a bit wild at times, that De Gale looked more composed, that said, thought it was close, that Groves aggression just! nicked it.

 

I thought I was gonna see Groves kick arse from what I've heard in the past but having watched it, I think De-Gale won it
