Thoughts on Solis vs. V. Klitschko?

While I am not impressed with Solis's credentials on paper, I happen to think that he will turn out to be one of the better contenders of this era.

I could be wrong in this of course.

So not a good challenge in terms of the challengers credentials, but still one that could prove more interesting than the previous few.

 

solis has little chance, but i'd rather see vitali face him than anyone else right now. unrelated but any excuse to mention it... solis' performance against haye in that amateur world champs final was one of the most impressive i've ever seen at that level. poetry.

 

I hope I'm wrong, but I smell Kevin Johnson and Sam Peter all over again. Vitali's height is a huge advantage....he just spears people from the safety of his ivory tower and they can't even get close. I'm tired of these weigh-in photos of a Klitschko towering over a scared looking opponent. But there just aren't any huge guys that are in their class. Solis has a chance, but not much.

Anyone talk about Kevin Johnson anymore? Nope. Not much.

 

It would depend on how much Solis weighs.

 

A man with 17 pro fights doesn't stand a chance. Another farce of a title defense. Look at the Solis of that Austin fight compared to even the amateur one that clowned Haye. It's almost like two different fighters IMO. Solis is the archetype of the modern heavy-unmotivated, inactive, scared of taking risks in the ring and out, overweight and untrained for speed and stamina, and a waste of talent at 30 years old.

Kind of sad.

 

Screw Solis' amateur record. Klit has a great one, too.. Let's keep this professional...

Solis' best wins as a pro are over:

"Julius Long, Jeremy Bates, Chauncy Welliver, Montell Barrett and Raymond Austin."

I'm sorry, but I ain't impressed... Yet skeptics have the balls to rag on the great V.K.'s pro record and his opposition... Klit's resume SMOKES Solis' record and it ain't even close...

Klit will make Solis his *****. Still, I'm anxious to see this fight..

it really seems up in the air for Solis. i have not viewed all of his pro fights yet however..

in my mind, i just can not see him winning, barring technicalities. that said, i am looking forward to it greatly.

 

Solis has ,slow feet ,average hand sped ,average power ,and, zero head movement. He is also overweight.
He has beaten no -one to justify this title chance.


Style wise, you could not make a computer print out that would be more suited for Vitali.
It will make money, because it is being held in Germany,and they turned out in droves to watch the likes of Sven Otke ,and Henry Maske.atsch

VK dominates fatty Solis with supreme ease throughout, tears open the scar tissue above his eyes & TKO's the blood-soaked mess before stumbling him in 9 rounds of pain. :ko

 

Ya know, if Vitali continued slipping he may have slipped to far to beat Solis. I doubt it but it may have happened.

 

If VK is slipping (during his comeback) it's at a remarkably slow rate, so i estimate that even a few more years of ageing wouldn't stop him from brutally harpooning whales.

Vitali lives a healthy lifestyle & trains his best for every fight, so he's still an impressive physical specimen.
