...with speed. They had/have a natural ability that allows them to cope with speed. And on the other hand, boxers who always struggled with speed. :good
Cotto handled Mosley's speed pretty good. He couldnt handle Pac's ATG speed but then again nobody can.
That's a good point actually. :good I think he does struggle with speed more often than not though, IMO.
Evander Holyfield beat the fastest fighters he faced (Mike Tyson, Michael Dokes). Riddick Bowe did have pretty quick hands, but it was the in-fighting, size, and body-punching that really did Holyfield in. Holyfield was faster than guys like Michael Moorer, Lennox Lewis, and John Ruiz who beat him.
Cotto had to CHEAT against Zab using multiple low blows, went life and death with a pass prime Mosley, and got beat up by emmanuel. I wouldn't use him as an example of someone who is good at handling speed. He has a great jab but no great countering and timing. Speed is a ***** if you don't know how to neutralize it.
Foreman - lacked speed, in fact he was slow as **** but still found a way to land those bombs that were launched from his waist. It is definitely a product of good timing awareness. Winky Wright - is/was a guy who could tag almost anyone with a jab, even faster fighters like Mosley or Taylor. Hopkins Toney Tszyu Ricardo Lopez Alexis Arguello Ike Quartey Carlos Monzon Jose Luis Lopez
I've seen the bout, but from what I remember...he did struggle with Judah's speed. I actually used him as an example of someone who tends not to cope with speed well. :good
