Hatton was Hatton, he had 16,00 screaming his song he was fine. He came out looking good but got beat by the beater fighter.

 

hatton's style makes for a short career and he's already taken a lot of punishment, one more year and that should be it or he'll get gatti'd

 

The day that Hatton can't make 140 is the day he should retire. I think he's good for another 18 months/3 fights....

 

Yeah, he just made a **** LOAD of money, and he is obviously a smart man so needing money shouldn't be a factor ever in his life. He's proven more than most by already at his age fighting over 40+ fights. If anything he has proven his point and if he wants a mega-fight or two its up to him, but he has earned the right and money to do as he wishes and no one can tell him other wise.

 

It was on Granada Reports on Friday evening UK time the night before the fight. Not sure exactly when it was shown to Hatton but it must've been earlier that day and then screened on Granada early that evening. There were various personalities wishing him luck but he started cracking up when family members, especially his son, had their say. Personally, I don't think something like this would have that big an effect on him with regards to the fight - I just think it was the magnitude of the test he was facing in squaring off against the best boxer in the world that probably made him nervous as it would most fighters.

 

So with the time difference that tape would have been shown to Hatton on the Thursday night before the fight? No way could that have affected him.

Its funny how mother****ers are posting about ricky being nervous..ricky not getting sleep...the ref didnt allow him to fight as dirty as he wanted...blah blah...then they say...NO EXCUSES....lol...dont you in denial mofos now believe that Hatton knew he was going to get his ass kicked..A mark of a GOOD fighter let alone great is confidence and composure..If he lost that in the biggest fight of his career. He should not of been there in the first place... IF he was clam and didnt attack like he did he would of got picked apart and knocked out sooner.. When will you guys accept if Hatton STOPPED his crazy type pressure he would of got done like round 8. The round in which he stopped coming forward for a minute... He was getting knocked around the ring literally.
