Prime? Nigel Benn - no knowing who would beat him, but it would never be boring, and in the land of PPV we live in, they'd all sell well.

No he doesn't, that fight would be over in 3 rounds and in favour of Tyson of course. Tyson was a new breed of animal by the time he hit and the technical mistakes that Ali made were very evident, aside to the fact that Tyson was much faster hand and foot, more accurate and had the significant stylistic advantage.

A prime Ali would not have reacted well to that type of explosive power behind well timed shots either and lacked the defence to stay in the fight. Hell, Zora Folley timed a prime Ali plenty of times with his straight right.

    Kostya Tszyu.

I think if prime Mosley had fought him at 140 instead of jumping the division to 147, he would have given KT fits and might have won.

When was Tyson's prime in your opinion?

And what was his competition level like at that time?

    Very good.

But it's no issue, any version of Tyson aside from the unmotivated version vs. Douglas and the totally shot version from the 2000's is going to beat any version of Ali, especially the younger Ali. The older Ali with his tactical use of clinching will last longer and be more frustrating, but still would lose every round and get destroyed.

What with Ali's tongue and verbals, Mike may have lost the fight before it even began. Alot of mentally stronger fighters did.
