    actually no. You suggested that the only difference between them was how Sergio turns his punches over, then said, to quote directly "Sergio martinez is joe calzaghe with power."

    I merely pointed out that you were wrong, because there are some fairly major differences in their fighting styles. Some major similarities as well, but it's not as thought Martinez' punching ability is the only thing that separates them.

    if you want small guys like pac or mayweather to fight him, then you should also have no prob with him fighting the supersix guys @168. after all, that's just 1 division north where he currently fights.

    and don't give me this BS about him being a small middleweight. he came in @170 during his last fight and that makes him a legit middleweight, definitely not a small one.

    Ward would beat him decisively. He'd mug him and work him over on the inside all night long. After watching Bute-MaGee, though, I do believe Martinez would take Bute. MaGee was giving him problems just by virtue of being a south-paw, Take Martinez, who is excellent at utilizing of his south-paw advantages, and who feasts on fellow south-paws. What happens? Martinez rocks Bute's world. Straight lefts and right hooks to the chin for 12 rounds. He'd likely also win the battle of the jabs as well, despite his height disadvantage. The only question is how Martinez would handle Bute's body-shots.

    That's the fight Martinez should pursue. If he wants to take an easy cash-in fight next, that's fine, but afterward he should push for a Bute clash, which would be a big money fight and a victory would add a lot to his legacy.
