Serious thread- or do some people think it wa a bad break breaking the knee? I have thought he wa a hype job since the Mazakin fight which was an obvious fix. My scnerio was always that he was ineffective befause of his obvious weight problem, and that even whan he lost some of the weight (like he did tinight) it would be murder on his muscles and his stamina. Or again, do dome of you think he could have got back up and made it a good figth if not for the injury?
What does it matter? Either the knee break was caused by a punch, or it was caused by nothing. Normal, well conditioned heavyweight fighters don't injure kness for no reason. He's fat. Thats the point here.
mega fat hype job, has not beat anyone significant in his heavyweight stint. only thing impressive about him was his amateur career
Solis' condition may have been a factor in him injuring his knee. However, I have seen many, many well conditioned athletes injuring themselves. Look at his right leg as he drops to the floor.
He never impressed me.I watched fight Julius Long ages ago and thought he was just a fat ******* with no punch. It did not suprise me at all that he lost fast last night.I had round 2 in the sweepstake at the pub.I won the pot as I was closest to the result.Solis was good in that sense
I'd say if it werent for the knee injury and his obvious lack of confidence after taking that temple shot, he mighta gone 8 rounds, and maybe even won one or two of em.
Solis never deserved to even share the same ring as Vitali, Solis is a joke and should retire from the sport.
I never concidered the man a joke, but I didn't expect him to stand much of a chance against Vitali with his current weight/form. I was quite sure he would take a beating after I saw his Austin fight, wich made it clear he wasn't anyway near the class of either of the brothers. Never expected this to happen, but wasn't surprised he couldn't take Vitali's punches. But who does expect someones knee to give out by a simple KD.
Can you seriously come on here and say that he wasnt going to give vitali a good fight. He did alright from the start very even round then the right hand came in boom good night i thought it wasnt a very good shot but then vitali said he hit him hard so i took his word for it. You coulds see his knee go i dont doubt for a minute that was faked no way. To be honest i think that would of been a hard night for Vitali if that had gone on. It did suprise me when Barry M said he looked in good shape he looked heavy to me.
Solis is bloated, but he's got some quick paws for sure. He was doing pretty good til his arthritis knee gave out.
