As we all know,Jimmy's 1977 fight with Ken Norton was a very close one. Now,imagine if the verdict had gone the other way. Jimmy would have been awarded the WBC title, instead of Norton. A fight with Larry Holmes would have been arranged. Jimmy would have kept his motivation, and not gone horribly off the boil as he did in reality. It would have been the Young of the Foreman and Norton fights who would face off against Holmes. I would say that Larry would win,but it would be far from easy.
The man with the championship mentality to take what's his would certainly win. We all know who that is.
Holmes would beat Jimmy by a unanimous decision, Young would have his moments, but Larry is a different breed.
Holmes by easy decision .. Holmes was far better than Young ... on his jab alone Holmes wins a near shut out ...
i thought he was serious till the last sentence... only then did i realise. i think i need some sleep...
Yeah, he was definitely showing A+ sarcasm right there. Hell, I thought it was El Bujia for a second.
Larry's 'Power-Jab' out-duels Jimmy's 'Pin-Point Jab'. Both could be hit with quick counter-rights. But Larry's had more power, which would neautralize Jimmy. 10-3-2 in Rounds.
Class would be in session by PDF. Young. Remember Spinks Holmes 1? Larry looked great with Norten but when his jab and right hand hits nothing but air, I see a very frustrating night for Larry and maybe Jimmy Young finally gets what he deserved, a great win and respect.
