Why do people consider Bute vs Magee as a bad fight??

You see Magee wasnt as bad as many wanted to make out. Magee should have been given a count though Im sure it would have only been a matter of time, but consider Magee went into the 10th round and could arguably have won 2/3 rounds where as alot of the better known fighters didnt do as well ie Brinkley 9th round and lucky not to be stopped in the 5th, Miranda 3 rounds, Andrade (2) 4 rounds, Zuniga 4 rounds. Alot of the fighters noted here didnt win many rounds.

 

This is what makes people so foolish and taken in by a tag that says S6. Magee gave a better account of himself than A Green did in his 2 fights in the S6, Abraham in his last 2 S6 fights etc

 

Its funny because I never give Magee credit. After watching this fight I feel similar about Bute as I did Froch after he beat Magee, in that maybe they are not as good as I thought, even though I noted that Magee wasnt a bad fight for Bute

 

I dont doubt the fight would have ended soon after but whether Magee said he was able to continue or not, the ref should have given a count.

I dont doubt Bute would have finished Magee at some point soon, but the ref should have given a count, it is down to Magee then as to weather he stays down or gets up. Magee wasnt in as bad a way as when Bute was put down by Andrade, and Bute was given a count

 

I felt Reid could have stopped Magee if he had of stepped it up and that Froch and Bute could have finished him in much faster time
